Brickmania to Display LST in Evansville, IN, Home of LST 325

LSTbw

Brickmania’s Landing Ship Tank (LST) model and Pacific Island Assault diorama will be on display for one-day only at the Evansville Museum Transportation Center (EMTRAC), Wednesday, July 10th.

The event is intended to tie in Evansville, Indiana’s contributions to help fight and win World War II. During the war, Evansville was a thriving hub of manufacturing, contributing military hardware as small as bayonets all the way up to 350 foot long landing ships. It was also home of  factories building P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, refurbishing Sherman tanks, and so on.

Actual LST 325 in Normandy

On hand will be one or more members of the LST Memorial — home of the actual World War II LST 325 — to give “tours” of our 1/35th scale replica of the Landing Ship Tank. Our goal is to help pass along a little of the history and technology behind this incredible piece of machinery.

Admission to the EMTRAC is $2 for ages 12 and up. Kids 11 and under are free. Proceeds will be shared with the LST Memorial and EMTRAC.  Brickmania will have a complete selection of our kits, BrickArms weapons, etc. available on site. EMTRAC plans to stay open from 11am to 7pm for this one-of-a-kind event.
