As the US military seeks to reduce the number of casualties on the theater of battle the number of remote controlled vehicles has heavily increased. These machines allow US troops to survey and engage with potential IEDs and conduct video surveillance on dangerous and hard to reach areas. There are currently over 3,500 remote controlled vehicles in service of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) helping ensure the success and safety of the US troops.
