Restock: M5A1 Stuart – World War II Light Tank

M5A1 Stuart - World War II Light Tank

About the M5A1 Stuart – World War II Light Tank:

Another successful American tank design, the M5A1 Stuart was the result of extensive testing and refinement. The need for a reliable light tank became apparent to the US Army after the success of German blitzkrieg campaigns in 1939–40. As other European nations struggled to catch up with the German war machine, the United States began work in 1940 to replace the small M2 light tank.

The M5A1 was the second production model in the M5 family. Powered by dual Cadillac engines, this model began production around the time the United States entered the war in 1941. Much like the Sherman, the Stuart appeared in almost all theaters of the war. Armed with a 37mm gun, the Stuart was used primarily for reconnaissance and support, but it was used in combat against smaller Japanese tanks in the Pacific. Built in Detroit, Cadillac produced almost 7,000 Stuarts for the U.S. Army until June 1944 when it was replaced by the M24 Chaffee.

Restock: Pak 40 – Anti-Tank Gun

Pak 40 - Anti-Tank Gun

About the Pak 40 – Anti-Tank Gun:

Designed shortly before the outbreak of World War II, the Pak 40 anti-tank project was shelved due to the lighting-fast success by the Wehrmacht. After Operation Barbarossa, the Pak 40 was immediately put into production with its battlefield debut during the battle for Kharkov in May 1942. The Pak 40 had a remarkably low silhouette, making it easy to conceal in spite of its size. The Pak 40 could defeat the heaviest Allied tanks up until the end of the war.

All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition LEGO bricks. This model comes disassembled and includes complete printed building instructions and comes packaged in a sealed box. This is a limited-edition kit and production may be discontinued at any time.

New Release: Natasha – WWII Seabees Bulldozer

Natasha - WWII Seabees Bulldozer

About Natasha – WWII Seabees Bulldozer:

Featured in the John Wayne classic The Fighting Seabees, the bulldozer named Natasha was part of the equipment used by the naval construction battalions known as Seabees — the nickname comes from the initials of their official designation: Construction Battalion or C.B. Born from the need for infrastructure on small islands in the South Pacific, the Seabees were tasked with various projects such as repairing airfields and roadways, all to be completed under the most difficult and dangerous of circumstances. Their ingenuity was legendary as they were known to fix equipment in unorthodox ways, including using oil drums to craft bulldozer radiators. Upon their creation, Admiral Ben Moreell bestowed them with their official motto Construimus, Batuimus: “We Build, We Fight.”

New Release: SB2C Helldiver – Carrier-Based Dive Bomber

SB2C Helldiver - Carrier-Based Dive Bomber

About the SB2C Helldiver – Carrier-Based Dive Bomber:

Replacing the SBD Dauntless in 1943 as the U.S. Navy’s premier dive bomber, the SB2C Helldiver sank more Japanese ships in the Pacific than any other Allied aircraft. Mostly launching from aircraft carriers, the plane’s wings folded up to form a triangle, making it capable of being stacked and stored which created more room for takeoff or landing and allowed more planes to be stored on airfields or carriers. Capable of carrying 2,000 pounds of bombs or a single torpedo in the internal bomb bay, the Helldiver’s ordnance payload made it a formidable opponent over sea or land.

Specifications:

  • Speed: 294 mph (473 km/h)
  • Range: 1,200 miles (1,931 km)
  • Crew: 2 (pilot and gunner)

A6M5 Zero - WWII Long-Range Fighter

About the A6M5 Zero – WWII Long-Range Fighter:

Perhaps one of the most successful fighter planes in history upon its release, the A6M5 Zero spent its first two years of production as the most feared fighter on the planet, racking up a kill ratio of 12 to 1. Restock: Panzer III Ausf. E – German Medium Tank

Panzer III Ausf. E - German Medium Tank

About the Panzer III Ausf. E – German Medium Tank:

The workhorse of early German conquests, the Panzer III provided the necessary speed and armament for blitzkrieg tactics. Mobilized by Erwin Rommel’s Afrikakorps, the Panzer III (and its variants) remained the most numerous German tank during the North African campaign. It also played a key role during the invasion of France and the Low Countries in 1940. Although underpowered against French and British tanks, the sheer concentration of armor against thinly deployed Allied tanks allowed the smaller Panzer III to overwhelm Allied armor units.

The Ausf E variant served as the standard for future models beginning with the Ausf F. The chassis for this tank would also serve as the basis for the StuG III Ausf G tank destroyer.

Specifications:

  • Crew: 5
  • Armament: 3.7 cm KwK 36 L/46.5 or 5 cm KwK 38 L/42, 3x 7.92mm MG34
  • Engine: Maybach HL 120 TR V12 gasoline
  • Speed: 24 mph (40 km/h)
  • Range: 102 mi (165 km)

Features of the Panzer III:

Brickmania’s Panzer III Ausf E kit is designed to represent the standard medium gun tank used by the German forces during the early years of World War II, wearing the colors of the famed Deutsches Afrikakorps. The kit includes fully articulated Brickmania Track Links™, a rotating turret with elevating 37mm high velocity gun, and opening hatches for the vehicle commander. It also includes a hull-mounted MG34 Machine Gun from BrickArms, and a sticker set with national insignia, turret numbers and the DAK logo. The Panzer III Ausf E kit was designed specifically with a number of add-on pack upgrades in mind, and can also be customized by the builder.
