About the T-72a – Main Battle Tank:
Designed to be a mass produced main battle tank, the Soviet T-72a first entered service in 1973 as an alternative to the T-64. Equipped with a 125 mm smoothbore gun and a maximum fire rate of up to eight rounds per minute, the T-72a has been used by nearly 30 countries worldwide. During the Russo-Georgian War in 2008 a large number of T-72s were used by both sides, and in 2014 during the War in Donbass pro-Russian separatists also deployed T-72s, although the Russian Government claimed plausible deniability in regards to supplying the separatists with tanks and other military supplies.

The Battle of the Bulge, sometimes known as “Hitler’s Last Desperate Gamble”, was a massive German offensive beginning in December of 1944. The Allies did not believe such an offensive was possible in the thick forest of the Ardennes region. As a result, the Allies were caught completely off-guard and the German advance created a “bulge” in their lines. German defeat would result from poor logistics and Allied resolve. This defeat in the Ardennes would cripple German ability to wage war and seal the end of the Third Reich in May 1945.

About the Easy Eight – M4A3E8 Sherman Tank:
The name “Easy Eight” was the nickname for the final World War II production model of the famous Sherman tank. While never designed to battle heavy German armor, this model was more capable than the original Sherman tanks rolled out three years earlier. The Easy Eight contained key critical upgrades including a longer, high velocity 76mm gun and better armor. The nickname “Easy Eight” comes from the final two letters in its military designation, M4A3E8, which indicated an improved and heavier suspension system designed to deal with the extra weight of the new gun. This was effective at navigating the uneven terrain of the Ardennes Forest when in combat with intimidating German heavy tanks during the Battle of the Bulge.
The Easy Eight was the only Sherman to remain in American service following World War II, deployed in Korea until the development of the M46 Patton. The Easy Eight was also the basis of the famous Israeli “Super Shermans” which saw action well into the 1970s.
Specifications:
Features of the Easy Eight – M4A3E8 Sherman kit include:
The Brickmania team has updated our ever-popular Easy Eight kit with several new features. Significant upgrades include the addition of new custom weapons from BrickArms: new extra-long Easy Eight Gun Barrel, Easy Eight Muzzle Brake, and a Short .30 Caliber Machine Gun Barrel with Ball Joint. This model retains its smooth-running tracks, functional suspension, rotating turret, and four opening crew hatches. It also comes with the iconic BrickArms M2HB machine gun as standard equipment. For those looking to add an extreme flair to your Easy Eight model, we have also created the M4A3E8 Hollywood Add-On Pack.

About the CCKW – 2 1/2 Ton Cargo Truck:
The GMC CCKW 2 1/2 ton 6×6 Truck was the crucial piece of logistics hardware in the Allied arsenal during World War II. Examples include a long (164-inch) and short (145-inch) wheelbase. The short version was designed to tow 75mm and 105mm field artillery and the long version was typically used for personnel and cargo.
The famous “deuce and a half” saw service worldwide. The CCKW was the main transport vehicle for the famous Red Ball Express. Operated from August through November 1944, the Express was developed to deliver the required supplies to rapidly advancing Allied divisions. The route was essentially a one-way loop using existing roads in France.
Because of unit segregation, over 75% of the soldiers operating the convoys were African-American. Many had never driven a truck before. Despite receiving only a few hours of training, these men ensured the success of this logistics miracle. Operating 24 hours a day, they drove day and night on narrow roads through bad weather to deliver badly-needed supplies to the men at the front. It is estimated that over 900 trucks were moving on the Express at any given time. Around 5,400 trucks were involved in the operation, delivering over 400,000 tons.
By the end of production in 1945, 562,750 in all variants had been built.

About the M4 Sherman:
Perhaps the best known Allied tank during World War II, the M4 Sherman was designed to replace the M3 Lee. Named for the eccentric Union General William T. Sherman, the Sherman medium tank was mass produced to help offset better-armed German tanks such as the Tiger and Panther. The American war machine produced over 50,000 Sherman tanks between 1941 and 1945.
The Sherman chassis was used for several dozen different variants. Among these variants, several were specialized for mine clearance, rocket battery, or as a self-propelled howitzer. The standard M4 Sherman was equipped with a Continental R975 gasoline-powered engine and could achieve a top speed of 21 miles per hour. Stock Sherman examples were armed with two machine guns and a 75mm cannon, the Sherman could handle all but the heaviest German tanks. Although they struggled against German armor, the Allies found success in overwhelming the slower German tanks by often deploying five or more Sherman tanks against the same target.
The Sherman was also deployed during the Korean War but was eventually replaced by the M46 Patton.

About the WWII German Medic:
Field medics during World War II regularly entered intense combat zones, risking their own lives to save those of their fellow soldiers. Due to dwindling numbers of trained physicians late in WWII, many German Army medics operated alone or in two-man teams, sometimes even in conjunction with Allied field medics during brief truces after especially bloody combat.
The Brickmania WWII German Medic features a 360-degree UV printed white medic’s chest bib, along with medic’s pouches and pistol holster over a historically accurate “feldgrau” uniform commonly found in the German Army, using color matching print techniques pioneered by our print department. This custom figure also includes a printed medic arm brassard and helmet.

About the SdKfz 251 Ausf D – German Half Track Three-In-One kit:
SdKfz 251/1: First produced in early 1943, the SdKfz 251/1 Ausf D was the standard half track armored personnel carrier for the German Army in World War II. Equipped with dual MG42s, over 10,000 of the Ausf D models were built from 1943 to 1945 and were often used to tow the 10.5 cm LeFH 18 light howitzer, along with other field artillery.
SdKfz 251/9: Nicknamed the “Stummel”, which is German for stump, the SdKfz 251/9 Ausf D variant featured a 7.5 cm howitzer mounted on the roof, along with a coaxial MG42.
SdKfz 251/10: The command variant of the 251 Ausf D featured a 3.7 cm Pak 36 anti-tank gun for added artillery support. During initial production, the 251/10 mounted the entire top half of a Pak 36 gun shield on the roof, but this was later changed to better conceal the 251/10’s added firepower.
Additional information:
Featuring sturdy design, opening rear doors, and smooth rolling Brickmania® Track Links™, this 3-in-1 kit includes everything you need to build your SdKfz 251 Ausf D as a 251/1, 251/9, or 251/10 variant* to suit your MOC.
