New DAK Battle Pack: SdKfz 10 with Pak 36 and Three Crewman
Brickmania has put together another new North African campaign battle pack with the SdKfz 10 half track, Pak 36 anti-tank gun and three new Deutsches Afrika Korps mini figures. This kit was released at World War Brick Anaheim where many of the 100 available were scooped up by the attendees. There will be no additional batches made, so get is while you can!

New Updated HMMWV with BrickArms Mk 19 Grenade Launcher
Since the late 1980s, the HMMWV (“Humvee”) has been the backbone of the US military’s utility vehicle and light weapons carrier fleet, serving in all theaters of operation in dozens of uses.
This newly updated tan version of the HMMWV is both a challenge to build and has some exciting play features, including the rotating armament turret and the new BrickArms Mk 19 Grenade Launcher. It’s been completely redesigned from previous versions and it can fit four minifigs inside while wearing BrickArms Tactical Vests.

WW2 in LEGO Starts Sunday – Note NEW Kansas City Location!
Brickmania will be taking several of our large displays on a mini tour around the country in February 2015. These include the 11 foot long World War II destroyer USS Nicholas, plus several World War II and other historic military dioramas. We will also have many of our kits, BrickArms weapons and other products available for the historic LEGO building enthusiast.
Here are some of the things you will see this February at WW2 in LEGO:
- An 11-foot replica of the World War II Destroyer USS Nicholas, one of the most decorated US warships in the US Navy.
- Battle of the Bulge Diorama 1: Spearhead to the Meuse – German armor on the attack!
- Battle of the Bulge Diorama 2: Relief of Bastogne – Patton’s Third Army
- North Africa campaign: British Outpost in the Desert, armor and aircraft refit and refuel for the impending clash with the Deutsches Afrikakorps.
- Pacific Beach Assault Diorama: US Marines storm a tropical beach held by the tenacious Japanese defenders.
- Soviet Tank Repair Depot: An urban tank repair facility
In addition to the World War II models, we will also have the following on display:
- Vietnam War Diorama: A montage of iconic scenes from the Vietnam War
- “Black Hawk Down:” A recreation of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu

Will has announced the release of the new Private Carpetti minifig from BrickArms to coincide with the WW2 in LEGO tour. The North African Campaign continues with the release of a brand new Bren Carrier LP2 with 2-Pounder Anti-Tank Gun and three Commonwealth crewmen.
The wheels are removed from the 2-Pounder for firing. The gun includes a bin full of anti-tank ammunition. The Bren Carrier features a printed BrickArms crate.

Background:
The Hawker Hurricane was one of the primary British fighter aircraft of World War II. Although it was responsible for a greater number of Axis planes destroyed in the war, history relegates the Hurricane to the shadow of it’s more famous cousin, the Supermarine Spitfire. While equipped with the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XX V12 engine, the Hurricane’s relative large size and thick wings meant it would never be as fast as sleek German Bf-109s and Fw-190s. As the Spitfire took over the role of Britain’s main dog fighting aircraft, the Hurricane was transformed into a ground attack aircraft, a task for which it was ideally suited. This configuration, known as the Hurricane IIc, was armed with four powerful Hispano 20mm cannons and up to a 1000 pound bomb load. Many such aircraft were “Tropicized,” with additional air filters and desert camouflage, and sent to North Africa in support of British forces.

LEGO Building Contest at Science Museum of Minnesota
Brickmania is proud to be a sponsor of the Science Museum of Minnesota’s first annual LEGO contest! If you love to create original designs with LEGO bricks, this is your chance to show them off! The finalists will have their creations displayed at the Science Museum of Minnesota and win awesome prizes.
The contest is open to all, but all finalists must be able to transport their designs to and from the Science Museum of Minnesota on the designated dates. Judging will be based on the following age categories:
- 4 – 7 years old
- 8 – 12 years old
- 13 – 17 years old
- 18 and older
- Groups/Families (multiple people working on one design such as a class or a family)
