The General Purpose Utility Car (aka Jeep) was the result of a call by the US War Department just prior to World War II for a light-weight, four-wheel-drive vehicle with capable performance both on and off road. The Willys Overland provided the winning design, based on prior developments of the Bantam Car Company. The versatile design provided to be a war-winner, with more than 640,000 of the iconic vehicles produced for Allied forces from 1941 through 1945.

This is the fifth version of the Willys’ WWII Jeep to be released as a kit and the first to be true to the 1/35 scale which the other Brickmania kits are built. This basic scout version includes a brick-built M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun, spare tire, gas can, shovel and room for three passengers. The driver minifigure comes with a backpack and BrickArms supplied M1 Garand rifle and OD Green M1 Pot Helmet.
This Brickmania model kit is made from genuine unused LEGO bricks and comes with full-color printed building instructions. The kit comes with all the parts disassembled, includes completed printed building instructions, and is packaged in a sealed box.
