SdKfz 250/1: Fan Choice Kit Preview Pictures!

SdKfz 250

We’re constantly bombarded with requests for specific armored vehicles to release as new kits, but there’s just not enough time for us to release them all.Last month we held a poll to decide which will be the first kit to be released based on the requests of our friends and fans. Eight nominations were selected to represent a wide cross-section of vehicles from World War One to the present and the clear victor was the SdKfz 150 Halftrack. Seeing as this fits perfectly with our current Barbarossa 41 series, we wasted no time time coming up with a couple of prototype models. The Ausf A version is going into immediate production as part of the Barbarossa 41 collection and we’ll release the Ausf B version (or some other variant) at a later date. Stay tuned for more details!

  1. Thanks Dan. That is all I need to know. If there is no 251 coming up then the 250 will have to be on the shopping list. 😉

  2. Thanks for clarifying that. How many minifigs will fit into the 251? Will it carry the 10 man squad or is this a cut down version like the 250 with room for only 4?

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

I just need something clarified. You mentioned that the model selected as the Brickmania Fan Choice Winner to be released was the SdKfz 150. However you show pictures of a SdKfz 250/1 Ausf B and a SdKfz 251 Ausf A. I am a little confused.

Also the SdKfz 251 seems to be the same size as the smaller 250. What I am after is a SdKfz that can transport a 10 man squad. The 251 model seems smaller than your earlier version http://brickmaniatoys.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/218_coverv2l.jpg can you clarify how big the 251 will be in comparison to the 250? Also how many minifigs will fit in your 251 model coming up?

    Thanks

    • The figure is one of the guys from the Wehrmacht Troop Pack, which is already available. For the moment I’m only the Ausf A version is going into production. Ausf B will be available later.
