Renault FT / M1917 Light Tank
The tank was developed during World War I to help defeat the bloody stalemate of trench warfare of the Western Front. The Renault FT was a light tank to be used in a breakthrough and exploitation role and was equipped with either a low-velocity artillery piece or machine gun.
75mm Mle 1897- World War I French Cannon
The French 75mm Field Gun (“Matériel de 75mm Mle 1897”) is widely considered to be the first modern artillery piece. Adopted by the French army in 1897, it was the first gun to be equipped with a hydro-pneumatic recoil system, which allowed the gun to be fired in place without re-aiming between each round.
