Laying Planks

Brickmaniacs,

There are so many things changing around us on a daily basis that there are times when we all find it difficult to keep track of where we are, where we’ve been and where we are going. Fortunately, in the center of our production warehouse is something that keeps us all excited, while giving us a measure of consistency as it takes form: the USS Makin Island, the newest epic build by Brickmania.

Thanks to the support of fans like you, this enormous brick built aircraft carrier is beginning to rise off the table in the middle of our warehouse. Above you can see that Dan has already made considerable progress. Every builder knows that even the largest builds and the most intricate MOCs begin this way: taking shape from a nebulous pile of brick in our bins and spread out across our desks. Something new springs to life from yesterday’s parts, bringing with it new challenges and new achievements.

Those of you who had seen the Stalingrad display at the Mall of America, before we moved to the GHQ Store, will recognize some of these parts. Although it was one of the most beloved dioramas, even it has succumbed to the tide of time, being broken down for pieces. Some of these bricks will become part of the USS Makin Island, becoming a object of excitement and awe for years to come. It is comforting in these strange and turbulent times to see history being built before our eyes.

If you would like to contribute to the construction of this amazing display, take a look at the Plank Owner Sponsorship program where you can put your own personal touch to a truly historic build. But whether you’re a Plank Owner or simply a regular customer, we thank you for your continued support. Your patronage is what makes Brickmania what it is today, and what it will be tomorrow.
