Alright… we promise this is the last time we’re going to do this.
As a compromise to our customers across all time zones our official restocks and new releases schedule is changing one final time.
- Restocks: Mondays at 8:00 AM US Central Time
- New Releases: Thursdays 8:00 AM US Central Time
These will be the official times moving forward. However, make note that very often we will put restocks up as soon as they are ready to ship so it helps to check brickmania.com often to stay on top of what’s back in action.
The easiest way to stay connected is through the Brickmania Newsletter. Which we send out twice weekly at these times to let everyone know what’s back and what’s new. It’s also the best way to know about upcoming sales, exclusive items, preorders, events, and other promotions.

The Brickmania GHQ Store located at 1618 Central Ave. NE, Suite 110, Minneapolis, MN 55413 is the premier destination for LEGO® fanatics, history buffs, and building enthusiasts. Housed in the historic Thorp building in a beautiful showroom style space, the Brickmania GHQ Store offers much more than their full line of premium products. First on the list has to be the amazing 25-foot 1/35th scale model of the USS Missouri constructed entirely out of LEGO® bricks. Loaded with tons of hidden figures and other fun, you can scour the display and test your observation skills by completing the Brickmania scavenger hunt. Also available is the official Micro Brick Battle WWII Armored Combat System tabletop game. Available to play free of charge with all of the official game pieces and terrain, their awesome store employees will even show you how to play! Exclusively at the GHQ Store is the Brickmania kit archives display; an entire wall devoted the various custom designs released by Brickmania over the years, including the kits that started it all! Other featured displays include a “Fury” as well as the “Black Hawk Down” both based on the Hollywood films and constructed entirely from LEGO® bricks. As if that’s not enough to keep busy, there’s also the 15-foot USS Nicholas destroyer and a giant TV complete with an Xbox One to play epic games such as Battlefield V and more!

(more…)An Incredible Story From The Youngest Navy Pilot to Ever Earn Their Wings
On January 12, 1945 United States Task Force 38 eliminated 41 Japanese ships in the South China Sea. One of the many squadrons involved in the conflict was “Bombing Eighty” launching from the USS Ticonderoga. That day, U.S. Navy Capt. Charles S. “Chuck” Downey and Aviation Radioman 3rd Class Larry George were paired in manning a SB2C Helldiver. Often referred to as “the Beast” or “Son of a Bitch 2nd Class” the Helldiver was a late war dive bomber, sharing some similarities with its popular predecessor the SBD Dauntless. However, despite the Helldiver being more difficult to pilot than the Dauntless, the SB2C was significantly faster, and could carry a heavier payload while taking immense amounts of damage.
An advantage to which Capt. Charles S. “Chuck” Downey would soon credit his life.
