At the onset of World War II, the 37mm Anti-tank gun was the chief anti-armor weapon in the US military inventory. The M3 was mounted on a wheeled carriage, making it small enough to be towed behind the standard 1/4 ton Jeep and easily positioned by its crew. While it’s effectiveness would diminish against increasingly more heavily armored German vehicles, the M3 soldiered on for the duration of the war in North Africa, Europe and the Pacific.
This M3 37mm Anti-Tank is an essential piece of equipment for any WW2 collection or diorama. This is the perfect entry level kit for anyone new to Brickmania’s historical building kits, which are made to the highest standards and only included genuine LEGO®.

The M3 series of armored cars was used in various theaters during WWII. The A1 class was used as a scout car for the US Army in the North African campaigns. It also saw combat use during the invasion of Sicily, as well as in Normandy. In addition to it’s use as a scouting vehicle, the M3A1 was also used as an ambulance, a gun tractor, as well as a vehicle for command and patrolling.
The M3A1’s design differed from it’s predecessor, the M3, in the way of a bigger hull. The Scout Car was capable of carrying up to seven infantrymen, and provide fire support through the use of one .50 caliber and up to two .30 caliber machine guns. It was equipped with an unditching roller, full-time 4WD, and power brakes, which were unusual for the period. The hull was protected with two armored plates ranging from .25 to .51 inches in thickness. While the leaf-spring suspension prevented these vehicles from being fully off road, they saw plenty of action in the Tunisia, and they were proven to be effective scouting vehicles during that time.

Often credited with developing the tactic of “blitzkrieg” (lightning war), Heinz Guderian was a German general considered ahead of his time. Guderian caught the attention of the Nazi regime with his book on armored tactics titled “Achtung-Panzer!” (Attention-Tank!). Blitzkrieg would catch most of Europe off-guard and produce several of the early war victories by Nazi Germany.
This Heinz Guderian features exclusive custom-printed artwork designed by Lando.

Although defeated in their homeland by Germany, the WWII French Soldier would continue to fight Axis forces across the world. Many would join the Free French Resistance and continue to take the fight to the Nazi invaders for the remainder of the war. This resistance would prove to be an invaluable resource to Allied forces when they liberated France in 1944.
The World War II French Rifleman features artwork based on the M-1935 Greatcoat, M-1938 Trousers, MLE 93 Army Shoe, puttees, M-1935 Ammo Pouches, brown leather suspenders, and the M-1935 Canteen.

About the P-51B Mustang – Long-Range Bomber Escort:
World War II pushed aircraft design to new levels never before seen in history. As one of the better-known aircraft to come out of WWII, the P-51B Mustang is a part of the larger Mustang line of escort fighter aircraft. These second-generation Mustangs were a vast improvement over the previous model. Equipped with a Packard Rolls Royce Merlin V-1650-7 engine, this variant could outpace the previous design by one hundred miles per hour at its service ceiling.
Given its speed, range and maneuverability, the Mustang was capable of adequately protecting Allied heavy bombers on their missions. Although Allied bombers were equipped with defensive machine guns, these proved to be inadequate as bomber casualty rates climbed over thirty percent. The Mustang as an escort aircraft proved to be an effective defense of slow-moving bombers.
These warplanes were exclusive to American forces. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) also had several squadrons that were equipped with the Mustang and its variants. It simply outperformed similar Axis warplanes and could be used in a variety of roles. Due to its excellent specifications and wide use, many historians consider the Mustang a key component to Allied victory.

About the Bedford QLC – Fuel Bowser:
Bedford produced a series of military trucks for the British military during World War II. The QLC version had a large tank mounted on the chassis that allowed it to function both as an aircraft refueling vehicle and fire engine. The “Fuel Bowser” variant would have been driven by Royal Air Force (RAF) grounds crew who were in charge of maintenance and refueling. This system allowed for quick refueling as the RAF were the sole defenders of Britain during the Nazi bombing campaign, otherwise known as the Battle of Britain.
