As the official Customer Service mascot, Holly is on station to show our veterans her support! Holly wants you to know that she needs your help on the Wounded Warrior Project fundraiser. You can learn more about the fundraiser here, and Holly wants you all to tell as many people as you can! She would also like to say that she hasn’t eaten yet today (she has, but she’s never admitted to being full). You can make her happy, and help our heroes with a donation today!
Our goal is to raise over $6,000 for veterans and their families before Veterans Day 2020, and we need the community to do it! This community has raised a lot of money for veterans charities in the past, both through fundraisers like this one and and through charity auctions at World War Bricks of old. We are always humbled and thankful for our fans for their support, and we are grateful that we have the opportunity to help our beloved veterans.

As regular readers of our blog are well aware, we have been raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project and preparing to donate an LCAC to US Navy in honor of Veterans Day 2020 and all those who served with honor and distinction. The hat shown below is just one of those donated to Brickmania by servicemembers for display at our GHQ Store, and serves as a reminder of the appreciation and support we get from our veterans.
We are always trying to find new ways to give back to our military service members, and we are constantly delighted to work on fundraisers and World War Brick auctions that go toward helping our amazing veterans, both aboard and at home, contemporary and historical. Our fans have always come out in a big way to support these initiatives, and we are asking everyone in the community to come out for the Wounded Warrior Project (click that link to donate today!) and donate to the heroes who need it most. We thank each and everyone of you who as already donated toward this cause, and we hope that we smash our goal ahead of Veterans Day!
Making A Difference

One of the greatest parts of our job is honoring the heroes, both contemporary and historical, who put on the uniforms we emulate on our minifigs, and who operate the vehicles that we model. One of the coolest moments I ever had in the store was when I met a man whose father had served as a Corsair pilot during WWII. The son had bought our kit and built it for the veteran for Father’s Day, even adding his name to the side of the plane. I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with a Vietnam veteran about his time aboard a destroyer much like the USS Nicholas that is on display in our GHQ Store.
Learning about the experiences of our veterans is a tremendous honor and privilege, and I always benefit from the conversations had. That’s why talking about, promoting and supporting a good cause like the Wounded Warrior Project is such an important effort. We all owe these courageous members of our military services and their families for their sacrifices. The defense of democracy and freedom around the world has been their cause, and now we all get a chance to give back to them. In honor of Veterans Day 2020, let’s show them our support and make a difference for those who gave us everything they had, for everything we have.
