World War Brick Anaheim News Digest #2
Less than three weeks away from southern California’s first military LEGO fan event. Here’s a roundup of some of the new developments since the last update.
DESERT STORM GROUP BUILD
Saddam is back and his Republican Guard has Saudi Arabia in their sites! World War Brick is excited to announce the first of three group builds will be a 1/72 scale diorama based on Operation Desert Storm. A Weekend Pass and pre-registration will be required to participate. Details posted soon! (special thanks to Aleksander Stein for the T-55 model design)
BRICKARMS EXCLUSIVE RELEASE
BrickArms announced today that they will have a new triple over-molded MG-08/15 kit available at World War Brick Anaheim!
BRIKWARS ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
“The Megablox virus is running rampant throughout Bricksburg! Come and test your survival skills in the world of LEGO! Bring a minifigure that represents you and fight back the hordes of plastic! In a The Walking Plastic! A Zombie BrikWars game.” Up to six players per game can join one of several Zombie Apoc themed BrikWars games held throughout the weekend. See brikwars.com for overview of rules.
WWB ANAHEIM EVENT KIT
Brickmania and BrickArms are collaborating on the event kit for WWB Anaheim and have been releasing teaser pictures all week. The photo shown here are likely to be the final design of the event kit, with only some slight variation in colors and additional printed elements. This includes a BrickArms “proto” M249 SAW and will be included free in the Goodie Bag for all Weekend Pass holders. In the event we don’t sell out of Weekend Passes, the remainder of event kits will sold to the general public on Saturday and Sunday, with all proceeds being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Purchase price is $90 (The Weekend Pass is $75 purchased in advance… do the math smarty pants).
WEEKEND PASS WEB DEADLINE THIS SATURDAY!
The last day you will be able to purchase a Weekend Pass online is January 31st. After that you can take your chances and try to get one Friday February 13th in person for $100. We’re strictly limiting Weekend Passes to 200 guests and the only way to guarantee getting one is to order online now.
PUBLIC EXHIBITION – ADVANCE TICKETS
If you’d just like to see the displays or shop the exclusive deals at WWB, then you’re welcome to visit World War Brick during the public hours of 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. People who purchase passes will be let in 1/2 hour earlier than those paying at the door. Beat the masses and purchase your advance tickets HERE.
