Past and Future

Brickmaniacs,

We wanted to give you another update on the ongoing mega build taking shape inside our warehouse “dry dock” and give you a chance to see the upcoming USS Makin Island as it develops. Below you can see the sign that used to hang in the hallway of the Mall of America before that store moved to GHQ in Northeast Minneapolis.

Alongside the legacy signage is more parts and bins of pieces ready for Dan to lay Planks with. Below you can see that there is already a lot of plates snapped together, but there is a long way still to go. Our Plank Owners already have their exclusive minifigures and with them Plank Owners are eligible for an additional discount in our retail stores until the end of 2020.

The Makin Island will surely be a world renowned display once completed. Dan may be the one designing and building it, but we all know that it is our fans – especially the Plank Owners – who truly make it a reality. Those who want to see it up close and personal will be able to stand beside it at World War Brick 2021. The hallway sign above represents our past, a symbol of where Brickmania has been. The plates and Planks above represent our future, a symbol of what builds may come.
