The GMC CCKW 2 1/2 ton 6×6 Truck was hands down the workhorse of the US military’s overland logistics service and one of the most crucial pieces of hardware in the Allied arsenal during World War II. The famous “deuce and a half” saw service on all continents, with hundreds of thousands being made during the war, and was the chief means of cargo hauling by the famous “Red Ball Express.” This is an early production “long bed” cargo version with “hard top” and doors being offered as a special edition for the Battle of the Bulge release theme of 2014.

While we were at it, we also gave the Chaffee the correct secondary weapon in the form of the BrickArms M2HB. This kit is based on the original M24 Chaffee “Durabuilder” kit, so it’s sturdy model for active play, as well as a being fine-looking rendition of this classic American tank. These new updates ensure it will remain the perfect entry point into Brickmania’s custom tank kits for years to come.
The M4A2 was a diesel powered variant of the famous M4 Sherman tank, used exclusively by the US Marines during World War II. Armed with a 75mm cannon, the Sherman was the ideal close-up fire support platform, as the Marines dug out entrenched defenders in their island-hoping campaign to towards victory against Japan. The US Marines fitted their Sherman tanks with fording kits for the amphibious landings that each island assault would require (they would usually be partially removed once the tank has reached dry ground). In this case we have fitted the M4A2 with the unique drum-style fording kits used the US Marines’ 3rd Tank Battalion. Also included in the kit is a complete dry-transfer decal set for US Marines 3rd Tank Battalion from Archer Dry Transfers. Click the image above for more information or to order.

The T-34 was the most widely-produced tank in the Soviet arsenal during World War II. The advent of the more heavily armored Tiger and Panther tanks of the German army forced the Soviets to seek a more powerful gun for their own tanks. The T-34’s original 76mm gun was replaced with a more powerful 85mm tank gun, and the legendary T-34/85 was born. Brickmania has captured this magnificent piece of wartime history in a premium-quality custom LEGO kit and we’re making it available again for a limited time.
