About the Type 94 75mm Mountain Gun:
The Type 94 75mm Mountain Gun was the Japanese military’s response to the rocky elevated terrain their forces occupied after the Japanese invasion of northeast China. Developed in the early 1930s, the Japanese designed the Type 94 to disassemble into 11 separate pieces so that it could be carried by infantry or pack animals through the tight trails and difficult landscape of China, and eventually the Pacific islands. Taking the gun apart took about 5 minutes, and reassembly took just 10, making it a highly mobile and deadly addition to the Japanese armament.

About the A6M5 Zero – WWII Long-Range Fighter:
Perhaps one of the most successful fighter planes in history upon its release, the A6M5 Zero spent its first two years of production as the most feared fighter on the planet, racking up a kill ratio of 12 to 1. However, as aircraft engines advanced, the Zero soon ran out of luck as the plane could not be modified to include a higher powered engine. Due to the struggling war-time Japanese economy, the Zero remained in service in high numbers until the end of World War II. The A6M5 version was first produced in 1943 and was all the Japanese could muster to keep up with the expanding variants of Allied aircraft.

Considered the largest tank battle in history, Kursk was a melee of massive metal monsters. Far from home, German infantry caught in the battle faced wave after wave of Soviet armor. One of the last great German offensives on the Eastern Front, Kursk marked the beginning of the end for the Third Reich.
The WWII German Kursk Soldier features artwork based on the M42 Camouflage Smock (Tarnjacke), Feldgrau Trousers, Jack Boots, Camouflage Helmet Cover Type 1, Leather Belt, Combat Y-Straps, and MP40 ammo pouches. This minifigure is armed with a BrickArms MP40 V2 Extended Stock.
Operation Barbarossa was the code name for the German invasion of the Soviet Union during World War II. Launched on June 22, 1941, it was just the beginning of the most epic and costly battles in human history.
Recreated in this book with LEGO® bricks are many of the most important fighting vehicles of this first phase of the war on the Eastern Front. The wide open plains of Ukraine and Russia were ideal tank country, with which most of the battles were waged.

Filthy Thirteen Paratroopers
Officially titled the 1st Demolition Section of the 101st Airborne Division, the Filthy Thirteen earned their name by their general disregard for military structure and refusing to follow hygiene protocol (shower) in order to use water to cook game while stationed in England. The group also donned Native American Mohawk haircuts inspired by their First Sergeant Jake ‘McNasty’ McNiece who was part Choctaw Indian.
Brickmania’s Filthy Thirteen minifigure features both a Mohawk and a custom-printed helmet, and face paint true to that worn during Operation Overlord. This minifig was created by Lando and features a 360-degree UV print design.

About the AMX-13 Light Tank – Israeli Army – Six-Day War:
Produced for over 30 years (1952–87), the AMX-13 (Char 13t-75 Modèle 51) was an effective and prolific French light tank. Exported to over 25 different nations, the AMX-13 was deployed in more than one hundred different variants. This light tank had a revolutionary design featuring an oscillating turret with an autoloader, eliminating the need for a loader crew member. This permits the tank to have a smaller turret and chassis, reducing the weight and silhouette of the vehicle.
The AMX-13 is often thought of as Israel’s first main battle tank (MBT). It saw major combat with Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) during the Arab-Israeli Six-Day War of 1967. During the war, the IDF deployed three battalions (about 400) of this light tank on fronts against Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. Although it had some tough encounters against heavy Soviet-built tanks such as the IS-3 and T-55, the AMX-13 was a key factor in successfully defeating the Arab nations, forcing a ceasefire and earning Israel new territory including the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the Golan Heights.
