The LVT (Landing Vehicle Tracked) was designed to to fulfill the role of mobile support vehicles for bringing cargo and equipment ashore during the Pacific island hopping campaign envisioned by US strategists for the defeat of Japan. The LVT was essentially a boat while in water, but could also crawl on land using caterpiller tracks like a tank. Early LVTs were not armored, being intended mainly for the tansport of cargo. Experience during combat operations would show that the LVT was ideally suited for carrying combat troops directly to shore, especially where coral reefs prevented boats from from being effective in this task. Design improvements soon followed and fire support variants and armor kits would soon be introduced. The LVT-4 was a decendant of the earlier LVT cargo transports, but had significant improvements, most noteably a ramp at the rear so that troops and cargo could be discharged directly onto the beach (rather than over the sides of the earlier versions) . Many LVT-4s were fitted with armor kits over the crew compartment and were generally fitted with 2-4 machine guns to provide suppressive fire onto the beach. The LVT-4 could carry as many as 30 combat equipped troops, cargo and supplies, an artillery piece, or even a 1/4 ton 4×4 JEEP.

Friday, November 1st is the official release date of the production version of the M2HB, perhaps the most widely anticipated BrickArms gun to date!
BrickArms brings the war-winning “Ma Deuce” design to minifig scale at long last. Developed by John Browning as an up-sized version of his .30 Caliber M1917 design, the M2 machine gun is a .50 caliber monster, able to launch a vehicle-killing projectile for miles. The M2HB or “Heavy Barrel” is the air-cooled version issued to ground troops and mounted on just about every American armored vehicle from World War II to the present day.
Includes:
• M2HB Body
• M2HB Removeable Barrel
• M2HB Removeable Spade Grips
• M2HB Ammo Can (can be mounted right or left)
• M2HB Charging Handle (can be mounted right or left)
• M2HB Mounting Bracket with Optional Stud-to-Pin Joiner
All components are black ABS plastic, injection molded in the USA.

Another batch of this widely-used American anti-tank gun from World War 2. This gun saw action in North Africa, the Pacific and a limited appearance in the liberation of Europe.
The M1 37mm Anti-Tank gun is a good companion to the following Brickmania kits:

We have received permission from BrickArms to put the exploded-view schematic drawing of their new M2HB Machine Gun on a T-shirt. We’ve dressed it up with stats about the real gun to complete the blue-print look. Our first run of this design, printed on OD green, pre-shrunk 100% cotton T-shirts, has just rolled off the press and is available for immediate ordering. If army green is not your color, reliable sources tell us our friends at GI Brick will soon have this design printed on black T-shirts.
This versatile heavy machine gun, in it’s Model 1938 wheeled carriage, was the main heavy machine of the Soviet Union during World War II. This weapon is comparable to the Browning M2 in characteristics and a modernized version is still being produced to this day. The DShK model 1938 can deployed in both anti-ground and anti-aircracft configurations.
Port facilities, air bases, barracks, transporation networks and other construction projects were urgently needed to support the fighting troops during World War II. Many civilian construction vehicles were drafted into US Government service and sent to work for the war effort.
The M1 Light Tractor was the US military’s designation for the civilian Caterpillar D4 deisel tractor. In this instance it’s fitted with a facsimile of the LaPlante Choate hydraulically operated dozer blade. It is also fitted with a facsimile Hyster D4N towing winch, often used for towing skids of cargo and supplies. This setup is typical of light tractors used in World War II by US Navy Seabees (Construction Battalion units) as well as US Army Engineer units.
