As we look toward the vaunted Space Race Themed Month in April, we have a very special preorder that launched yesterday, the world famous Bell® X-1, which was the first manned airplane to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. Although these sets aren’t scheduled to come out until April, we know that our fans will be scooping these up at the speed of sound! This kit, and the mini-kit that it has been bundled with for a limited time only, is nothing short of fantastic to build and highly swooshable. As most of our fans already know, our building kits don’t tend to stay in stock for long, and mini-kits sell out even faster, so this is a chance to get two amazing sets at a Mach busting price!

Everyone who has the good fortune to work here knows that what we get to do on a daily basis is a gift from our amazing fans and the community that we serve. One of the supreme joys of the process is seeing new building kits rise from the piles of pieces, or seeing the decked out minifigures after they’ve been marched through the production warehouse. From the artist’s desk to the super fan’s shelf, we are proud of the products we produce and the reception they garner from all of you.

Our fantastic Custom Minifigs do not come out of the ether fully formed, instead they sent through a quality control and vigorous counting protocol where they are buffed and prepped for the UV Printers. Every single individually sold minifig, and every building kit exclusive minifig goes through the same process. We’ve shown you the UV Print room where it happens, as well as them on the print bed and a bucket of the printed arms ready for assembly, this is just another part of the process. These are secured so that they will not move inside the UV printer, and these are ready for the side printing that will give them their authentic look and feel when they enter your collection.

Our fans, both online and in the retail stores, consistently ask for particular restocks of both kits and minifigures. One of the most consistent requests is the Modern US Navy Deck Crew which were instantly sell out every time we get a chance to restock them. We’ve shown you some of the process behind the creation of these marvelous minifigures, and the nature of being a small business with an enormous and varied catalog means that we can never have enough time in the day to keep everything we’ve made in stock online or in our three retail locations. These highly sought after minifigures are requested the moment the stock hits zero.

Despite us never being able to keep up with the substantial demand from our amazing fan community, we love hearing from each and every one of you. If you got yourself a coveted Deck Crewmen, sound off! If you want another minifig to get a restock we’d love to hear about it. One of the things that gives us great joy is being able to respond to our community and we love giving the fans what they want. Seeing all of the responses when a restock like these gets on social media is a lot of fun and we can’t wait to continue to expand our capabilities so that we can get you want you are looking for.
